MetroPCS is a $5-billion provider of non-contract mobile phone services. The company's engineering and HR departments were hobbled by numerous limitations, ranging from painfully slow reporting and convoluted project management to inconsistent, manual processes and no visibility into their real business value.

With the ServiceNow Service Automation Platform and assistance from ServiceNow partners, Application Delivery and Support Manager Nicole Tate was able to create and deploy a custom application for the engineering team in 12 weeks. The team now runs a report that previously took 32 hours in eight minutes, and manages more than 100 concurrent projects with ease. For HR, Nicole and her team delivered in just four weeks an application that handles up to 10,000 requests a year, consistently and with total visibility.
